About me

Tommy, 51

Born in Denmark, nowadays relocated to the northern part of Sweden.

My story goes way back, and with plenty of memories, well enough to fit into a thick book.

My entire life has revolved around music. Mötley Crüe made its entrance in my life in 1983, but before that, Elvis Presley and KISS have been my two main musical interests, but I don't collect either of them anymore. I keep the music and the DVD's.

Between 1970 and 1980, I was interested in all kinds of different genres, but especially the original glam scene from the UK.

I have always loved this - Sweet, Slade, T-Rex, Gary Glitter, Suzi Quattro... Eventually, as a ten-year-old, in 1976, I discovered KISS. I stuck with them for many years, but the Millennium Show they did in Vancouver, Canada was such a disappointment to me that I lost all passion and interest.

But Mötley Crüe had been there ever since 1983, when their second album Shout at the devil with the single Looks That Kill had been released. I discovered them and my life was never to be the same again.

The older I got, the more seriously I devoted my life to this musical  road of no return. It has been an adventure I wouldn't trade for the world.

I have collected on a rather serious level for more than three decades now, and today the collection is one of the most talked about in the whole world.

I have always been interested in the stories surrounding artists, and always even more in the untold stories. I have been so into this that I felt I needed to get a job within the music industry So, I've worked at a record label, in a management ofice, with a booking agency, and also at the regular run-of-the-mill records shop. I had ideas in my head about how cool it would be to be a part of, but living my dream, I didn't feel happy about any of it. I then decided I should stick with it as a personal hobby rather than a career.

Though, I have got to say, I later found my passion as a rock radio host, and that was a passion I learned a lot from, and found to be the perfect match to my collecting universe.

Collecting this band, and - building up such a cool collection - is what I truly love to do. It's something I dare to say is a drive to my very existence. It's also something that people probably never will fully understand.
